We laughed out loud at this awesome commercial shot at Enigma – the most talked about mansion in the country. The location lent itself perfectly to the concept of this commercial with its opulent décor and extravagant finishes. Enjoy!

Every year at the start of our busy season (about mid-September) we assess which locations did well the previous year, what we might be lacking for the year ahead and we set the intention to bring in more spaces like these. These five locations are the crème de la crème of the Cape Town Film Industry:
They are well looked after, do not date easily and make use of open spaces, light and bright areas and most incorporate neutral tones and décor. Here are the best images of the best of the best. Enjoy!

South Africa, Cape Town specifically, is known for its diverse landscapes, assorted properties, contrasting architectural styles and varied cultures. The vast array of vistas, terrains and locations available make it a very popular shoot destination for a great number of countries. South Africa alone served as 57 different countries in the movie Lord of War, specifically due to its ability to stand in as just about anywhere. We pick our Cape Town properties for their diversity and their international appeal as the market we serve here comprises about 85% international work. This means that the majority of print and commercial advertising you see being made here is actually for export.
Here are all the properties added to the portfolio within the last six weeks:
Cherise has been actively searching for a wide range of locations to suit the Joburg market. This market differs from Cape Town in that 90% of the work is director-based for the local market. In other words it’s South African print and commercial advertising for South Africans. Locations in general therefore need to look believably local. Here are all the properties we uploaded last month, but this is by no means the full selection. We have an existing database to draw on as well as a good number of locations in the pipeline, so-to-speak – so if you need something specific that you haven’t seen here don’t hesitate to drop us an email and we’ll send you some ideas to fit your brief.

This gorgeously put-together property is situated on a small holding in Pniel. The exquisite surrounding pairs itself perfectly with unique interior décor. On trend ideas are skillfully combined in a timeless and eclectic fashion. Enjoy our latest addition to the portfolio!
By now you’ve certainly come across Pantone’s colour of the year 2012, Tangerine Tango. It has infiltrated make-up, clothing, nail polish, cupcake icing and interiors. This electric red-orange hue and its vibrant variations are here to stay.
This property and its décor has been perfectly put together. From the double volume, architectural-wonder windows that make the most of an exquisite harbour view, to the whalebone staircase this villa is both charming and majestic. It has gracefully edged its way into my own personal top ten favourites. But enough description! Gape in astonishment at these gorgeous images.
